My Presentation At The 2019 Ancestral Health Symposium

I have been participating in the Ancestral Health Symposium since a year after it started in 2009. I have learned quite a bit from the many presenters over the years. This year I spoke along with Kevin Boyd (and Mike Mew in the Q & A) in a dental panel format, where we entertained a few questions at the end. The panel was moderated by Brett Smith who gave an amazing presentation that you can watch here. My part of the talk focused on an examination of the relationship between oral and general gut dysbiosis, both of which seem to be initiated by the introduction of dense acellular carbohydrates, and an exploration of some critical factors in the etiology of caries and periodontitis. I hope it will be informative as well as enjoyable. To put that in plain language, I spoke about how processed carbs ruin our teeth and health, and I get into the specific mechanisms of tooth decay and gum disease. I hope you enjoy the video and more importantly I hope it can help you better understand how processed carbs work in insidious ways to harm our health.
